Three occupants of the car had managed to escape the wreckage by the time that the emergency services arrived.
The incident was reported just after 6.30 pm and the Fire Service, Police and Ambulance all attended, following concerns that those involved could have sustained head injuries.
Two of the three occupants of the car were hurt but their injuries are not thought to have been serious or life threatening. The police are investigating.
