Anti-drug rally hailed a success

The event had been organised by 17-year-old Deborah Le Rendu in memory of her friend Jared Harrison and another Jersey teenager who died last year and had been known to have used so-called legal highs in the months before his death.

Jared died earlier this month after supposedly taking a white powder purporting to be MDMA.

Deborah and her friends, who included Jared’s girlfriend Georgia Sharp, were also collecting signatures for a petition against drugs that they plan to present to the Chief of Police.
