Boost for tourism as hotel bookings go up

The monthly survey results are drawn from 30 hotels offering a total of 2,000 rooms.

Last year’s survey showed that by March, 32 per cent of the 2,000 rooms surveyed were full for April. However by March this year, the figure was at 39 per cent, and summer bookings are also on the rise.

David de Carteret, director of tourism and marketing at Jersey Tourism, described it as one of the best set of figures in recent years.
