And during its short trip, it frightened a number of shoppers, wandered into a few shops and even met Health Minister Anne Pryke.
The visit was all part of a publicity stunt for travelling theatre group Dinosaur Zoo, who are performing at the Opera House this week.
The group are performing at the Opera House at 10.30 am and 1.30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday
