They want to be transferred from Guernsey to French contracts, claiming that this would entitle them to better pay and conditions. They also want the Rapide, which is berthed in St Malo, to fly the French flag.
Yesterday, Condor announced it had cancelled ferry sailings to and from St Malo until at least Monday and said it had started paying for passengers to travel with rival operators.
