Jersey could be hit by the first snowfall of the winter tonight.

Forecasters are warning that a band of rain, sleet and snow will move across the Channel Islands in the early hours, and that the Island could see a couple of inches of snow before it turns to rain.

In view of the forecast, Transport and Technical Services are ready to be out gritting roads from 3 am, and Education are prepared to take an early decision on whether schools will open.

I think all the people who said it wouldn't snow should feel bad for telling the little children it wasn't and getting their hopes down. Guess what? IT SNOWED!
