DURING more than half a century of service to his beloved Jersey, former Senator Dick Shenton, the Island’s most popular States Member, never failed to draw a crowd, and yesterday was no exception.

Those who filled row upon row of pews represented a diverse community coming together to remember and celebrate the life of a common hero.
