Top Education role for an award-winning head

Sean O’Regan (48), a former De La Salle College boy and graduate of Oxford University, will be responsible for nursery and primary schooling for Islanders up to the age of 12.

The new position, head of early years, combines two now defunct roles – early years adviser and day care registration manager – after the previous postholders retired recently. Mr O’Regan was previously head of Edith Neville Primary School and Children’s Centre in Central London, which was rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and praised for the quality of leadership, teaching and learning.

He has 25 years’ experience in early years and primary education and as head of primary school improvement for the London Borough of Camden he oversaw the performance of 45 nursery, infant, primary and special schools serving a diverse intake of children.
