The Club ground in St Clement will be a hive of football activity on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for pupils in Year 6 and Year 7 teams on Saturday and Years 4 and 5 on Sunday.
Six-a-side matches for squads of nine players are all five minutes each way. St Clement official Paul Aubert, who is organising the tournament along with Margaret Fitzgerald and Peter Gulley, said: ‘There are 21 teams on Saturday and 14 on Sunday and the top eight from each day qualify for the knock-out stages on Monday.
‘There is also a penalty competition so there is a lot for the children to do. The tournament has again been organised to give children games against teams of players of a similar age and I’m sure it will again prove to be a lot of fun together with it being a bit tiring for everyone who takes part.’
