Culkin: Bring on North

A FULL strength St Paul’s side have their sights firmly set on more silverware tomorrow when they contest the coveted football Upton Park Trophy against Sarnians champions Northerners.

While last year the league may have dominated their thoughts, manager Craig Culkin said that this year’s Upton is just as important as the Premiership title, secured in a play-off on Tuesday, and the team is up for the challenge.

The match, which is at 2 pm at Springfield, is sure to be an exciting one if the pre-match talk is anything to go by, with North claiming to have the best front three in the Channel Islands.

‘All I can say to that is it’s down to them to prove that,’ said Culkin (pictured). ‘If that is the case it should be a game of goals because our strikers (Craig Russell and Craig Leitch) are also on form and have scored a lot of goals this season. And our defenders, Stuart André, Scott Devlin and James Quérée are also all on form.’
