Scots end run in great style

JERSEY Scottish emphatically ended a poor run of results to reach the Le Riche Cup final last night.

With four consecutive defeats behind them in various competitions, Scottish bounced back in style at Springfield to defeat Coca-Cola Combination leaders Trinity 4-0 with striker Ross Crick scoring a hat-trick.

Substitute Dane Sutton scored Scottish’s other – a goal and performance which delighted team manager Pat Brennan.

‘It’s great to see Dane back after a spell away and he played well after coming on as a substitute. He was involved in a couple of goals and the one he scored was a beauty.’

Scottish will play St Paul’s or Grouville in the final at Springfield on Tuesday 17 March. The second semi-final is at Springfield next Tuesday.
