Boyle makes his bow for Saints

JERSEYMAN Jack Boyle made his Southampton debut last night in a 2-2 draw against Queen’s Park Rangers in a totesport.com Combination match played at Stablewood.

Ten days after signing a short term pro-contract, Boyle – last season’s Muratti man-of-the-match – played the full 90 minutes and Southampton FC’s website report stated that Boyle made several forays forward and laid the ball off well on his first Reserves start.

Saints press officer Jordan Sibley said: ‘It would be unfair to comment how Jack played because I was not there. It’s early days for him and everyone is working hard to get him match fit as he not played a lot recently.’
