Beeches Old Boys, St Clement and Magpies won through the semi-finals of the PW Touzel Memorial Trophy.

Dave Kennedy and Martin Robins scored in Beeches’ 2-1 success against St Lawrence, with Michael Donoghue on target for the Saints.

Lowly St Clement sprang the surprise of the round defeating cup-holders Jersey Nomads 2-1 at Les Quennevais.

Paul Tumelty hit both for the winners with Emmanuel Henriques replying for the losers.

Magpies defeated Portuguese Club 3-0 at the Airport where Steve Cumming, Matt Pamplin and Mark Holley registered, the latter with a bullet of a header.

The semi-final line-up is St Clement v Magpies and Beeches against the winners of tomorrow evening’s game between St Ouen and Sporting Academics.

Six points separate seven clubs at the top of Division II Reserves where Portuguese Club, Magpies and Sporting Academics all have 24 points.

Portuguese went top on goal-difference after winning 3-0 against St Brelade at Les Quennevais, where Filipe Jardim scored twice and Agostinho Gouveia once.

Previous leaders Magpies nosedived 6-1 at St John where Jon Michel (three), Tony Riley (two) and Lance Guille netted for the hosts and Neil Brédonchel for the visitors.

Sporting Academics also lost their advantage after going down 3-0 to St Martin/SCF 3-0 at Les Quennevais.

On target for the Saints were Pascal Corcoran (two) and Dave Nesbit.

Lowly Beeches Old Boys halted Jersey Nomads’ progress as Michael Duffy and Paul Skinner netted for a 2-0 Old Boys success at Les Quennevais.

St Lawrence’s 4-2 home win against St Clement included a hat-trick from the hosts’ Tom Gibb, one goal following a fine run.

Jason Aspland was also on target with St Clement replying through Kevin Cassin and Richard Moulson.

Ten goals were scored at St Clement in Division C where visitors Jersey Wanderers won 7-3.

Scott Young (two), Gary Duncan, Martin Staines, Phil Livingstone, Paul Sims and Alan Yates scored for Wanderers and Jason Kelly (two) and junior James Gulley for St Clement.

St Lawrence scratched to St Peter shortly before kick-off as a result of having only eight players.
