A 4-2 victory, after extra-time, against First Tower keeps Trinity on course for a possible cup double as they oppose St Martin next Wednesday in the Kezourec Trophy, a competition for schools in the lower divisions.Trinity coach Martyn Stratford said: ‘It was a fantastic game of football and really exciting.

Both teams had chances to have won the game in a goal-less second half and the players of both teams can be extremely proud of their efforts in an open game.’Tower took the lead when Clayton Romeril touched in a cross-shot from close range.Almost immediately Matthew Rondel and Ryan Connan shot Trinity 2-1 ahead before Pakawun Fallon got clear to slide the ball home making it 2-2 at half time.Both goalkeepers made crucial saves, including one-on-ones.It really could have gone either way after the break but there were no more goals until extra time.In the first period of three minutes each way, Connan added his second after the ball fell kindly to him from a free kick.Rondel added his second in the same period to make it 4-2 and despite some late First Tower pressure Trinity’s defence held firm.First Tower: Elijah Hotton, Pakawun Fallon, Elliott Muddyman, Connor Davies, Christopher Leavesley, Joel Le Boutillier and Clayton Romeril.
