Parks, Farms & Gardens

Coronation Park, St. Aubin's Road, St. Lawrence is also known as Millbrook Park. Access and parking is from the Inner Road. Access to the beach/promenade of St. Aubin's Bay is from the south of the park but be careful when crossing the dual carriageway. There is a playground for young children, and the Glass Church is located next door.

Howard Davis Park, St. Clement's Road has beautifully maintained gardens within walking distance of town. During the summer, free outdoor concerts, film shows and live entertainment are held in the auditorium.

Les Jardins de la Mer along the waterfront in St. Helier has park benches where strollers can relax and enjoy the view. In the summer, there are open-air trampolines.

Peoples Park, Westmount, St. Helier is on the outskirts of town and has a small playground.

The Millennium Town Park is also on the outskirts of town. The main entrance is at the north end of Bath Street. The park includes a playground, a grass area suitable for picnics, an interactive water feature, sculptures and a petanque area.

Springfield Playground, St. Helier is by the football stadium on the outskirts of town. The play area features a modern sandpit and has designated areas for younger and older children with the safety of a rubber surface.

Winston Churchill Memorial Park, St. Brelade offers a pleasant alternative to the beach. There is a large collection of exotic plants and established trees providing shade on hot summer days.

Farming remains a way of life for Islanders, and the following attractions can be seen as a tribute to rural Jersey.

Samares Manor

Dating back to Norman times, the manor house is set in 14 acres of landscaped gardens that boast an internationally renowned herb garden, as well as a farmyard, tea garden and restaurant. There are guided tours and visitors can take a ride in a Jersey horse-drawn van. Served by bus route 18.

Lavender Farm

One of the largest collections of lavender in Britain can be found at this working farm in St Brelade. The 55 different varieties of lavender are cultivated from mid May, when the plants begin to show their first colour, to mid August, when the lavandage - lavender harvest - is usually completed. The farm also includes a tea room, distillery, bottling room and shop which sells fragrances and dried lavender products. Served by bus route 15.

Amaizin Adventure Park

The adventure park at La Hougue Farm, St. Peter includes a seasonal maze with a theme that changes every year.

La Mare Wine Estate

Established in 1969, this working vineyard is set in the 12 acres of grounds of an attractive 18th century Jersey granite farmhouse. Experts and novices alike are guided through the winemaking and distilling process in La Mare's style. Unique to La Mare is the distillation of the famous Jersey Apple Brandy and local marmalades, jams, mustards and fudge, all hand-made by a team of marmaladies. Children can enjoy the adventure playground, miniature ponies and Jersey calves. Served by bus route 7.

One of the world's finest orchid collections. Visitors can appreciate the unique collection of exotic flowers at close range. Served by bus route 21.
