Gallery: Classic cars on display at third Pride and Joy event

A wide range of vehicles were in attendance on a perfect day for a picnic, including an avenue of cars belonging to members of the Aston Martin Owners’ Club.

There was an impressive display of Italian supercars, including a wonderful 1967 Lamborghini Miura, a 1972 Ferrari 246 GT, a 1972 Ferrari Dino, a 1980 Ferrari 512BB and a couple of more recent examples in the shape of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

Charles Tennant, head of operations at sponsors Jacksons, said: ‘The third annual Pride and Joy proved to be another success for Jacksons with a wonderful and eclectic mix of cars arriving on the day.

‘We are delighted our customers, friends, JCG parents and their families enjoyed the day and hope to see them again in 2016.’

JCG Foundation director Leanda Jane Guy said: ‘This is the third year Jacksons have been a JCG Foundation corporate partner, supporting many initiatives including our Pride and Joy event.

‘We thank everyone for bringing their Pride and Joy vehicles, as well as some super picnics and sharing another super afternoon out.’

The Jaguar Land Rover mobile unit was also on site with a display of the latest vehicles in each of the ranges, while refreshments were provided by Jacksons coffee car, the Chugging Pig and Stuart’s Spiral Ices.

The winners on the day were Geoffrey Grime (1902 Gladiator); Mr Baxter (1965 Volkswagen Type 34 Razor Edge); Andy Dos Santos (1988 Peugeot 205 GTI Rallye); Jim and Joan Gavey (best picnic).
