Level 3 BTEC art and design students were behind Change and Metamorphosis, a diverse collection of work based on the themes of the title.
Overseen by tutor Marc McCarty, the exhibition includes pieces such as student Sarah Bailey’s Super Cube, a nostalgic games-orientated tribute to childhood memories of playing with the Rubik’s cube.
‘Sarah made Super Cube predominantly out of wood and the result is very impressive,’ said Marc.
The other exhibition, featuring artwork by BTEC First Diploma students, had no set theme and gave students the opportunity to create work on the subject of their choosing.
Tutor Alison Richards said: ‘Students used textiles, print making, drawing, visual arts, life drawing – whichever discipline they most identified with.’
Both exhibitions close today at 5 pm.
