Inside this weekend’s JEP is a free copy of our third Sporting Memories Over The Years supplement.
It includes more great photographs of a variety of sports, taken at various points over the past 125 years.
As our anniversary year continues, readers will also be able to enjoy more special supplements, based on a number of other different subject areas, featuring images from our vast archives.
In addition, throughout the year we are publishing a Through the Decades supplement series, featuring images from each of the decades since the newspaper’s launch in 1890.
As well as marking the newspaper’s anniversary year, the series of commemorative supplements also celebrates the JEP’s recent donation of its priceless photographic archive of 1.5 million images to the Island.
The archive – a collection of glass plates, negatives and prints which record the richness and variety of Island life since the paper was founded in 1890 – will be conserved and digitised by Jersey Heritage so that it can be accessed and enjoyed by Islanders forever.
