But it did not produce a shock winner, with the winners, for the third year in a row, being the UK team of Simon Mauger and Brian Cammack in their Escort Mk 2.
Commenting on his fourth Jersey title Mauger said: ‘This year was the toughest ever. Not only were the stages very demanding but the wet weather added greatly to the challenge.’
Second overall and top Jersey crew were Stevie Leonard and Sion Humphries in another Escort Mk2.
