Little did the group realise that their chat while at a wedding of the Le Feuvre family would lead to the creation of the St Lawrence Ladies Action Group, who are celebrating their 35th year this year.
One of the founding members was former Constable Iris Le Feuvre, who together with Ann Morvan, Margaret Osmont, the late Marjorie Satchwell and others decided that they should do something for elderly residents of the parish.
