Digging down into enterprise

Dr Matt Pope, senior archaeological research fellow from UCL’s Institute of Archaeology in London, has led the Ice Age Jersey project for the past three years.

During the event he will be focusing on the way in which climate change has affected the Island and what we can learn from the past.

Haraldur Tryggvason has been chief executive officer and adviser to a number of companies, including Iceland’s energy company, a publishing house and software developers and he will speak about the response from the government and from business to the collapse in the Icelandic economy.

The conference, which is free, takes place at the Royal Yacht Hotel from 8 am to 11 am on Friday 13 May and heralds a week-long series of events focusing on various sectors, including retail, tourism and the digital economy. To book a place and find out what’s on offer visit jerseybusiness.je.
